Principal Risk Associate, Enterprise Risk Management

Position: Principal Risk Associate, Enterprise Payments Risk Management
* ** Provide Payments Risk consulting and effective challenge to business partners through ongoing risk assessment activities, engagement in payments-related initiatives and projects, and understanding of payments risks and activities, including ACH and Nacha requirements.**
* ** Develop and leverage key relationships with cross-functional teams and key first line of defense contacts, providing advice and effective challenge, as required.**
* ** Conduct Issue/Event analysis by observing trends and providing insights on changes to the Payments Risk environment across the enterprise.**
* ** Demonstrates independent and adaptive problem-solving and analysis skills with attention to detail.**
* ** Demonstrates strong communication, collaboration, problem solving and influencing skills across various levels of the organization.**
* ** Manage tasks and activities related to risk management initiatives and reporting to support the Enterprise Payments Risk Management team in a well-managed capacity**
* ** Research and identify external risk themes related to payments.**
* ** Bachelors’ Degree or military experience**
* ** At least 3 years of experience in a first-line or second-line risk management role supporting payments processes or at least 3 years of experience conducting payments audits in a financial institution environment.**
* ** 4+ years of experience with ACH payments or experience managing adherence to Nacha requirements.**
* ** 4+ years of Financial Services risk management experience within the Payments Risk or Payment Operations domain, with experience in Nacha requirements and ACH processes.**
* ** Certification within the payments industry (Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), National Check Professional (NCP), Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), Accredited Faster Payments Professional (AFPP).**
* ** Knowledge of payments operating rules (Nacha Operating Rules, Real Time Payments Operating Rules)**
* ** Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
