Pen Fed is hiring a (Hybrid) Sr. Financial Forecasting Analyst at our Tysons, Virginia location.
The Senior Financial Forecasting analyst will be a key contributor within Corporate FP&A, supporting enterprise-wide balance sheet and income forecasting. This role will have primary responsibility for QRM model inputs and outputs, and One Stream forecasting and reporting processes, partnering closely with Treasury, Line of Business FP&A, Risk and Accounting to ensure accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis.
The position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of banking and credit union financials and products, and the ability to translate complex model results into clear business insights.
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in consulting, financial services, banking, or credit unions.
- Minimum of two years’ experience supporting or implementing finance, loan and Balance sheet management systems.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and experience with banking ALM or forecasting systems (e.g., QRM, One Stream, or similar) preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to apply an analytical mindset to identify issues, evaluate alternatives and propose actionable solutions in support of strategic business decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Proven interpersonal and organizational skills.
This position will not supervise employees.
Licenses and CertificationsCFA/FRM professional certification preferred.

- Manage the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise financial forecasting process using the QRM Balance Sheet Management system (QRM) and One Stream.
- Oversee data, assumption, and model input loading processes in QRM and One Stream, including reconciliation, validation and alignment with general ledger and management reporting.
- Serve as a key Corporate FP&A partner to LOB FP&A, developing a strong understanding of model assumptions, methodologies, and limitations; identify and communicate forecast risks and opportunities.
- Support the production of multiple financial forecasts, including monthly estimates, mid-year forecasts and the annual plan, as well as income sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with the Treasury team to incorporate liquidity assumptions into forecasts, and to forecast and monitor investment portfolio and derivative activity within QRM and One Stream frameworks.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of fixed income instruments including mortgage-related products, auto loans, credit card products, indeterminate maturity deposits, and interest rate risk measurement concepts such as market valuation, spreads, prepayments, duration, basis risk, etc.
