Data Analyst Specialist

The Data Analyst Specialist will support the Regulatory Reporting Modern Delivery team, which is responsible for mandatory FHFA data submissions, including the Mortgage Loan Integrated System (MLIS).

This role focuses on analyzing mortgage-related data, resolving data quality issues, and ensuring accurate regulatory reporting.

The analyst will work within an Agile team and collaborate with developers and product owners to deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze mortgage-related data to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Use SQL and SAS for data analysis, validation, and reporting.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure accurate regulatory reporting.
• Gather requirements and write/refine user stories.
• Test code for FHFA compliance and support documentation efforts.
• Maintain process documentation and controls.
• Enhance processes to improve data integrity and operational efficiency.
• Understand mortgage transactions and collaborate with internal teams.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, data warehousing, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for analysis, validation, and scripting.
• Expertise in SAS for data manipulation and reporting.
• Experience in the mortgage industry with familiarity in domain-specific terminology and deadlines.
• Strong business and technical analysis skills.
• Understanding of enterprise systems and ability to create data mapping documentation.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Experience with Python for data validation and transformation.
• Familiarity with tools such as Data Stage and Informatica.
• Knowledge of data quality assurance practices and observability tools.
