How You’ll Make An ImpactAs a Security Analyst II, you will be a crucial part of our defense against cyber threats. Your swift response to security alerts—investigating potential security incidents, securing compromised accounts, and reviewing escalations—will directly prevent or minimize the impact of security events.
Responsibilities- Monitor & Investigate:
Actively monitor security dashboards, queues, and alerts to detect potential threats. - Incident Response:
Conduct investigations into security incidents, perform rapid response actions to secure user accounts, and collect necessary log datali> - Escalate Effectively:
Analyze findings to determine scope and severity, resolve straightforward incidents, and elevate complex cases to Level 3 analysts. - Collaborate with Security Team:
Work closely with analysts and security engineers, share information, and contribute to a collaborative security environment. - Manage Escalated Tickets:
Handle tickets escalated to you and coach Security Analyst I on next steps. - Engage with Users/Clients:
Communicate professionally to gather details, explain procedures, or provide guidance during incident resolution. - Liaise Across Departments:
Coordinate security responses and share information with other teams. - Document Actions:
Maintain accurate records of investigations, actions taken, communications, and resolutions within Connect Wise. - Provide Support:
Offer timely and helpful support related to security inquiries, upholding a professional and customer-service-oriented approach.
- 2-3 years of experience in Information Technology.
- 1-2 years of experience in Information Security.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting Windows/Mac/Linux systems.
- Knowledge of basic and advanced security concepts.
- Ability to analyze alerts, identify patterns, and troubleshoot potential issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation, escalation, and stakeholder interaction.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively within the security team and liaise with other departments.
- Passion for excellent customer service and a track record of exceeding client expectations.
- NOTE:
This role is 24/7 shift based.
- Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Security, or related field.
- Industry certification such as Security+, CCNA Security, CEH, or other security‑focused certification.
- Experience with incident response.

Base pay range: $60,000.00 – $74,000.00 per year, plus an annual on‑target bonus if applicable. Total compensation includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and PTO.
