Data Risk Manager

Overview

Data Risk Manager at Capital One focused on identifying and mitigating data risks across the organization. This role involves partnering with Risk Management to develop and implement innovative data risk solutions and to ensure alignment with enterprise data policies.

• Providing data risk guidance within and beyond the organization
• Influencing data risk policies and procedures at the enterprise level
• Developing and leveraging relationships with line of business and enterprise data management stakeholders to enable data management activities
• Creating the strategy for the organization9s data management efforts to align with enterprise data policies
• Monitoring and reporting data management efforts, identifying gaps and remediation options, and escalating impediments to senior leadership for large and complex data systems
• Designing and/or sharing data management processes, procedures, and tools
• Designing and implementing local data governance processes and procedures
• Change management — ensuring data management impacts are assessed, documented, and implemented

• Bachelor9s Degree or Military Experience
• At least 3 years of experience in data management, data quality assurance, or data warehousing
• At least 3 years of experience in business systems analysis, audit, or project management

• 2+ years of experience in anti-money laundering, compliance, or risk management
• 1+ year of experience with reporting tools (Tableau, Quick Sight)
• 1+ year of experience with data inquiry and extraction (SQL, Python, Presto)
• 5+ years of experience in data management, data quality assurance, or data warehousing
• 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, audit, or project management

• Highly autonomous and highly collaborative

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries apply to candidates hired to perform work within these locations. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon hours worked.

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Risk Manager

Plano, TX: $132,800 - $151,600 for Risk Manager

Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Risk Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range of that location, and the offer letter will reflect the actual salary.

This role is eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
