Network Engineer

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Network Engineer – Barracuda WAF
. Position Type:
Contract Duration: 12 months

Location:

McLean, VA (Hybrid).

• Design, develop, and maintain tooling to support deployment, monitoring, logging, and auditing of Barracuda WAF configurations in AWS environments.
• Tune, configure, and troubleshoot Barracuda WAF policies, AWS infrastructure, and supporting Dev Ops tooling to ensure high availability and security.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Cloud Formation, and Ansible.
• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins that support secure and reliable deployments.
• Develop automation and operational tools using Python and Bash scripting.
• Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions such as Cloud Watch and ELK to proactively identify performance and security issues.
• Apply cloud security best practices, ensure compliance, and address vulnerabilities aligned with OWASP Top 10.
• Work with networking concepts including load balancing, routing, and Layer 7 traffic inspection.
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or ECS.
• Perform WAF rule tuning, regex‑based rule creation, API protection, and Layer 7 penetration testing.
• Collaborate with application, Dev Ops, and security teams to protect web applications and APIs from evolving threats.

Barracuda WAF, AWS, Dev Ops, Terraform/Ansible, CI/CD experience.

Pay Range: $65/hr – $70/hr pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
