AI Scrum Master

Overview

As a Steampunk Scrum Master
, you’ll be asked to serve as the Scrum Master on an Agile software development team.

• A Scrum Master must have experience managing Agile/Information Technology related projects and must be well versed in software development life cycle and project management methodologies.
• Scrum Master will oversee scrum team for key high-priority project for the client.
• Scrum Master will partner closely with technical teams (e.g. AI/ML engineers, data scientists, and Dev Ops teams) to facilitate delivery of complex technical solutions, ensuring alignment across development, data science, and operations.
• Support the design and implementation of new technical environments and tools for scalable AI/ML solutions, lead technical discussions during sprint planning and backlog refinement, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve blockers and optimize delivery workflows in emerging technology environments.
• Must be able to identify and mitigate risks. We are looking for a Scrum Master with excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical IT development Agile projects.
• Scrum Master will help define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
• Scrum Master will assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
• Scrum Master will support managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and help to implement an effective system of project governance.
• Primary focus is making sure the teams are effective and focused on their work.
• Coaches the teams in their understanding of the delivery process, the agile mindset, and client values.
• Helps the team use their time wisely and avoid distractions.
• Makes sure team issues are escalated, worked, and resolved.
• Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.

• Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
• 5+ years of experience with Scrum/Kanban Methodologies
• 4+ years of experience serving as the Product Owner or Scrum Master
• Must have CSM and SAFe certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams in AI/ML, Dev Ops, or cloud-native environments, with working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and secure development practices (Dev Sec Ops ).
• Ability to help teams write technically detailed user stories/epics, identify dependencies across AI/ML and Dev Ops workflows, and design optimal solutions
• Flexibility to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders, bridging gaps between engineering teams and business priorities
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
• Experience working in a studio / human centered design approach
• Demonstrated experience working with AI and machine learning initiatives within Agile environments.

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $150,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
