Position: Senior Platform Engineer (Snowflake, Databricks on AWS, Data Ops, Data Lakes)

** Platform Engineer**, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
* Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
* Continuously improve software engineering practices
* Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
* Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience and scalability of your solutions
* Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
* Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity
* Utilize scripting languages like Python, SQL, Ruby and groovy, Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services
* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
* At least 4 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, Git Hub, or Artifactory)
* At least 2 years of experience with AWS
* 3+ years of experience with AWS
* 2+ years of experience in Agile practices and Data Warehousing
* 2+ years of experience with Snowflake or Databricks
* 2+ years of experience with Python, Scala or Spark
* 2+ years of experience working with Jenkins (Dev Ops tooling for continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD)
