About The Team

Capital One’s Small Business Bank Data Modernization team is building a data destination of platforms, products, and processes that is well‑managed and easy to govern, where data is easy to find, understand, and use to enable real‑time intelligent experiences. We excel in building and supporting adoption of scalable data tools and products as we build toward a modern, real‑time data environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of product managers in building a universe of data products covering the most used data for our data consumers.

• Transform the data experience for all of our customer personas across Small Business Bank and shape local and partner roadmaps.

• Lead cross‑functional teams and champion data‑driven decision making, fostering a culture of data literacy.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management.

• At least 2 years of experience leading and managing a team of product managers.

• Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a relevant degree: a bachelor’s or master’s in a quantitative field (statistics, economics, operations research, analytics, mathematics, computer science, information systems, etc.) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience translating business and/or data strategy and analysis into consumer‑facing digital products.

• Deep understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data lifecycle management.

• Experience with large‑scale data platforms, data warehouses, data lakes, or real‑time data streaming technologies.

• Proven ability to define and drive multi‑year product roadmaps.

• Experience collaborating with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and product managers.

Salary & Benefits

• McLean, VA: $193,000 - $220,300.

• New York, NY: $210,500 - $240,300.

• Plano, TX: $175,500 - $200,300.

• Richmond, VA: $175,500 - $200,300.

This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
