Description of specific Duties in a typical workday for this position:

• Analyze, understand, and document the architecture of existing IT solutions
• Participate in business capabilities and systems' requirements analysis
• Participate in translating business requirements into IT solutions while taking into account the constraints imposed by the existing systems and architectures
• Participate in the design of content management and workflow solutions
• Participate in the design and management of servers, operating systems, middleware, and data storage and manipulation platforms
• Perform custom software systems design and development in collaboration with senior team members
• Participate in research, assessment, and adoption of emerging and new technologies and paradigms
• Assist the Security Compliance team with various aspects of the implementation and maintenance of an Information and Information Systems Security Program
• Work with the Systems Administration team members to deploy technical controls to meet specific security requirements
• Perform audit activities to report on compliance and security configurations
• Conduct penetration testing to discover vulnerabilities in the systems before they can be exploited

Position Requirements:

• 4 to 8 years of relevant professional experience OR 0 to 4 years of relevant professional experience combined with a technical degree specifically in one of the following areas:
  Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering
• Demonstrated ability to perform full life cycle software engineering using one or more modern platforms and languages (MS .NET/C#, JEE/ Java, C++, etc)
• Firm technical understanding of networking protocols and IT systems security principles
• Strong desire and demonstrated potential for further development of skills and expertise in the following areas:
  Software Systems Engineering and Development, Systems Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, IT Systems Security
• Ability to quickly understand stakeholder needs and articulate technical concepts and solutions
• Experience with using standardized modelling languages and notations, such as UML, Archi Mate, and BPMN
• Excellent communications, teamwork, and conflict management skills
• Commitment to continuous learning in order to stay up-to-date with technological developments and changes
