Take2 Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to support complex, mission‑driven network environments. This role focuses on enterprise routing design, implementation, and operational excellence across Cisco and Juniper infrastructures. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership capability, and a passion for building resilient, high‑performance networks.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and support enterprise routing architectures leveraging OSPF, ISIS, and BGP to ensure high availability, efficiency, and performance.
- Administer and manage enterprise network switches and routers from Cisco and Juniper, including Cisco IOS and JunOS updates.
- Develop and maintain network documentation including ConOPS, SOPs/MOPs, and detailed network diagrams.
- Serve as an escalation point for advanced routing and network troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
- Collaborate with reliability and operations teams to enhance monitoring, alerting, and system metrics.
- Contribute to operational excellence by establishing clear procedures and operational processes.
- Support automation initiatives and management toolkits to improve network efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align network designs with mission and organizational goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Participate in an on‑call rotation providing 24/7 operational support, including after‑hours on‑site support when required.
- 4+ years of experience in network engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with Juniper routers and switches.
- Strong understanding of routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, and BGP, with proven troubleshooting and optimization skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
- CCNP (Cisco) and/or JNCIP (Juniper) certifications.
- Experience managing Juniper SRX platforms, routers, and switches, including JunOS upgrades and configurations.
- Familiarity with Juniper automation and monitoring tools.
- Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
- Experience designing, deploying, and administering self‑managed MPLS networks.
