Senior Manager, Data Scientist

, with an annual salary range of $229,900 to $262,400

• Collaborate with a cross-functional group of data scientists
  , software engineers
  , and product managers to deliver solutions customers love.
• Apply a broad technology stack, including Python
  , Conda
  , AWS
  , H2O
  , and Spark
  , to uncover insights from large volumes of numeric and textual data.
• Build machine learning models across the full lifecycle, from design and training to evaluation
  , validation
  , and implementation
  .
• Translate technical complexity into tangible business goals by using interpersonal skills to align with stakeholders.

As part of the US Card data science organization
, the team focuses on customer management. You will help develop top-tier machine learning capabilities for business needs, working closely with partners across Upmarket, engineering, analysts, data science/quants, and product.

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining (with the expectation the degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date), one of the following:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field) plus 7 years of experience performing data analytics; or
  • A Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics) (as specified in the posting).
• At least 2 years of experience using open source programming languages for large scale data analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience working with machine learning

• At least 2 years of experience utilizing relational databases
  .

• At least 1 year of experience working with AWS

• At least 5 years of experience in Python, Scala, or R for large scale data analysis.
• At least 5 years of experience with machine learning

This role is also eligible for performance based incentive compensation
, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
