Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Windows Systems Administrator, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a strong Windows Systems Engineer joining our team to make a positive impact on the client’s mission. This position requires a strong Windows Administrator, to includes installing, configuring, supporting, and deploying Windows operating systems, as well as ensuring their security and performance.

They work with both physical and virtual servers, and are responsible for tasks like virus updates, patches, and performance tuning.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or other IT-related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
• Experience:
  
  15+ years
• Required technical skills:
  Demonstrated experience with Windows systems engineering and administration, including MSSQL databases, Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), VM clusters, Hyper‑V, Data Protection Manager, and Power Shell scripting. Demonstrated experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes to accredit security-controlled systems. Demonstrated experience with LINUX systems engineering and administration.
• Desired skills:
  Demonstrated experience with security-controlled systems, Cipher Trust enterprise hardware security modules, software, and data architecture. Demonstrated experience as a data transfer officer with security-controlled systems. Demonstrated experience as an Oracle LINUX Systems Administrator. Demonstrated experience with Cisco switches and security appliances including ASAs, Stealth Watch and Tetration. Demonstrated experience managing Net App storage area networks (SANs). Demonstrated experience with certificate management for users, servers and service accounts.
  
  Demonstrated experience cross-skilling and back filling for teammates. Demonstrated experience handling sensitive data, exercising discretion and sound judgment, and achieving mission outcomes.
• Certification(s):
  Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Database Administrator
• Tools and technologies:
  Windows Server operating systems (e.g., Server 2016, Server 2019, Server 2022). Windows desktop operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11). Microsoft Group Policy Management (for managing settings across multiple machines). Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) (for managing updates). Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Demonstrated experience with Sponsor’s security-controlled systems, software, and data architecture.
• Demonstrated experience with Sponsor’s Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes.
• Demonstrated experience as a data transfer officer with Sponsor’s security-controlled systems.
• Demonstrated experience with Sponsor’s security-controlled systems.
• Demonstrated experience with IT Program Management and support.
