Job Overview

The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Liaison will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams to ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements and are ready for production deployment. This role is responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing UAT activities, facilitating defect triage, and ensuring that user feedback is captured, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of software development and testing life cycles.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the central point of contact between business users, project managers, QA teams, and developers during UAT cycles.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into UAT scenarios and test cases.
  • Develop, review, and maintain UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate end-to-end business processes.
  • Coordinate UAT schedules, test cycles, and resource planning with business and technical teams.
  • Facilitate UAT kick-off meetings, daily stand-ups, and status meetings to track progress and address issues.
  • Guide and support business users in executing test cases, documenting results, and logging defects.
  • Perform hands‑on UAT execution when needed, including data setup, test execution, and validation of results.
  • Manage defect triage sessions, prioritize issues, and work with development and QA teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Track and report UAT metrics, including test coverage, defect trends, and readiness for go‑live.
  • Ensure that all UAT deliverables are completed, reviewed, and approved according to project timelines.
  • Document and communicate UAT findings, risks, and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support go‑live readiness activities, including user sign‑off, contingency planning, and post‑implementation validation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of UAT processes, templates, and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational standards, compliance requirements, and quality assurance guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in user acceptance testing, business analysis, or QA within software implementation or enhancement projects.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies, including UAT best practices.
  • Experience creating UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and process flows.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain issues, risks, and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, or similar platforms).
  • Ability to manage multiple UAT cycles and priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Comfortable facilitating meetings, workshops, and training sessions with cross‑functional teams.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of UAT deliverables and outcomes.
  • Familiarity with business process documentation, requirements analysis, and change management concepts.
  • Experience in regulated or highly controlled environments is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in testing, business analysis, or project management (e.g., ISTQB, CBAP, PMP) are a plus.
