Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Paralegal role located in McLean, VA. The Paralegal will support attorneys by drafting, formatting, and organizing legal documents and correspondence, as well as preparing filings and maintaining case files. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing and summarizing documents, managing deadlines and calendars, and coordinating with courts, clients, and third parties. The role also involves assisting with case preparation for hearings, trials, and negotiations, including compiling exhibits, organizing discovery, and ensuring all materials are complete and accurate.
The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management and high-quality client service.
- Strong foundation in Law with the ability to understand legal concepts and support case strategy.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing pleadings, contracts, and correspondence.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, courts, and third parties.
- Research skills to conduct legal and factual research, and Document Review skills to analyze and summarize case materials.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field;
Paralegal certificate preferred. - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, document management systems).
- Prior law firm or legal department experience is highly beneficial, particularly in litigation or transactional practice.
