Role Summary

As the Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll guide clients and project teams from the moment a project begins until its ready to break ground. You’ll organize the entire pre-construction process budgeting, design coordination, documentation, permitting, and client communication.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a high-touch, high-detail environment and enjoys collaborating with architects, designers, engineers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the pre-construction process for multiple projects, with some post-construction support
  • Serve as primary contact for clients, architects, and consultants
  • Lead design and coordination meetings
  • Build and maintain project budgets and estimates
  • Issue RFPs, review subcontractor bids, and assist with proposals and contracts
  • Keep project files, plans, and decisions organized
  • Track schedules and milestones, ensuring all stakeholders know next steps
  • Track the permit process
  • Facilitate communication between clients, designers, and internal teams
  • Align design, scope, and budget
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager for a smooth handoff to construction
What you Bring
  • 5+ years in pre-construction or project management for custom residential projects (luxury experience is a big plus)
  • Strong understanding of architectural, structural, civil, and interior design plans
  • Solid estimating and budgeting skills
  • Comfortable with Excel; experience with MS Project is a bonus
  • Procore is helpful but not required
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and great with communication
