Security Officer role at Andy Frain Services

Provide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Security personnel will always perform duties with constant awareness of surroundings, noting all activity in the assigned area. Officers must maintain a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service.

• Control of entrances and movement of pedestrians and vehicle traffic.
• Patrol of buildings and perimeters.
• Escort of material and personnel.
• Inspection of security and fire exposures.
• Special assignments.

• Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
• Maintain professional image by greeting customers, visitors, and employees politely.
• Be proactive in knowing revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS.
• Patrol physical property or maintain a fixed post position, diligently reporting any suspicious activity and investigating accidents and criminal acts.
• Monitor cameras or equipment continuously as outlined in the post orders.
• Maintain a working knowledge of emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports, and all relevant reports related to job assignment.
• Make recommendations to management on safety and loss prevention processes identified during routine duties.
• Know life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV, computer systems, and other equipment to complete job assignments, ensuring continuous safe operation of elevators and access doors, and be familiar with authorized contractor personnel responsible for maintenance.
• Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other regulating agencies.
• Communicate daily with Security Supervisor any new issues or changes that require consideration or implementation.

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED).
• Willingness to submit to a background and drug screen; employment contingent upon successful completion.
• Minimum 3–6 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems, or access computer systems.
• State Guard license is required.
