Overview:
We are seeking an Overnight Retail Security Supervisor to lead and support our on-site security team. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, employees, and vendors while delivering excellent customer service and strong team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads
• Manage performance, including coaching and corrective actions when needed
• Assist with hiring, training, and ongoing development of staff
• Ensure proper scheduling, coverage, and accurate timekeeping

Security Operations

• Oversee daily security operations and ensure compliance with post orders and company policies
• Conduct site patrols and inspections to maintain safety standards
• Ensure reports, logs, and documentation are completed accurately and on time
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms; coordinate with local authorities as needed

Safety & Systems Management

• Monitor and support the use of security systems (CCTV, alarms, fire panels, access control, elevators)
• Ensure all equipment and company vehicles are maintained and functioning properly
• Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and enforce safety protocols

Client & Communication

• Build strong relationships with mall management, tenants, and local police/fire departments
• Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager regarding team and site performance
• Provide excellent customer service through professional interactions with all visitors

Qualifications:

Required

• Prior security experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
• Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security licenses/certifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations

Work Environment

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring time spent both supervising staff and actively participating in security operations, including patrols and incident response.

Job Summary:

Supervision of all employees assigned to the Security department, with full responsibility for performance management of said staff. Manage and oversee all assigned areas in order to maintain a safe environment for all employees, vendors, and personnel. Support all areas in their security needs and be an integral part of the facility needs. Establish working relationships with local police and fire departments, as well as, with facility reports and others.
