Senior Database Engineer Poly

Overview

Big Bear.ai is seeking a Senior Database Engineer with an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance to join and assist and meet mission needs for our government customer. This role will be performed onsite at the assigned customer location.

• Monitor databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance.
• Support agile activities for systems including release planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives to gather and incorporate lessons learned into engineering processes.
• Model data to design local schemas, tables, data types, indexes, procedures and functions
• Work with developers during the normal application development life cycle to build features that deliver value to our customers

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of Database experience
• Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
• Database experience using Mongo
  
  DB or Maria
  
  DB, Including:
  • deployment and management of the database itself
  • debugging of optimization issues
  • scaling
• Experience with Django or Flask
• ReST endpoint and Micro services

• Swagger
• AWS, C2S or other cloud experience
• Docker
• Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs
• JSON and/or XML serialization
• Jira
• Confluence
• Git version control
• Agile
