POSITION SUMMARY
Test proctors at the Yamhill Valley Campus administer academic and professional exams for our students and community while providing a secure environment that conforms to standardized testing protocols. Excellent customer service skills are necessary and an attention to detail are required to proctor the internet-based, computer-based and paper exams. Passing and maintaining certifications for exam vendors are required to continue in this position.
The schedule may vary and include day and evening hours.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT- Certified as a proctor for required external exam vendors within three months of hire
- Upon hire, must pass security inquiry which may include criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered
- Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends
- Part‑time hourly positions will not exceed 900 working hours per calendar year
- All positions at Chemeketa are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the College
- Employees must maintain Oregon or Washington residency as a condition of employment
- Providing false information will result in rejection of an application, employment offer or dismissal
Essential Functions:
- Provides professional and friendly customer service to all candidates
- Administers and serves as proctor for internet‑based, computer‑based and paper tests facilitating accommodations when required
- Checks candidates in and out of testing center and briefs candidates on rules and policies
- Facilitates precise examinee admission requirements for identification and documentation as fulfillment of vendor and instructor requirements
- Makes precise and accurate recording of student performance
- Maintains high levels of test security in compliance with rules and regulations of external exam vendors, standardized proctoring protocols and procedures for securing tests, files, and records
- Maintains testing center at highest level of cleanliness and order
- Maintains test equipment and upkeep; reports to Supervisor if equipment is broken or damaged
- Scores and processes submission and precise reporting of exam status
- Troubleshoots technical computer malfunctions and contacts Chemeketa IT or vendor IT for assistance in absence of Supervisor
- Maintains files and testing materials, including securing paper exams
- Drafts incident and irregularity reports as needed for Chemeketa and exam vendors
- Participates in training for proctors whether provided by exam vendors or Supervisor
- Schedules exams, updates daily roster and ensures proctoring instructions and paper exams are prepared and returned to instructors in a timely manner
- Maintains records, and provides other record management activities as directed
- Maintains appropriate test conditions to ensure test and security procedures are followed by direct observation and monitoring security cameras
- Prepares daily records and files; purges inactive files; prepares transmittal information as required
- Participates as a team member in the delivery of optimum testing services to customers and organizations
- Maintains knowledge with tests and test procedures
- Attends meetings, in‑service, and training as needed
