Finance Director (Onsite – 4x10 Schedule)

Are you a hands-on financial leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes full ownership of your work, and can confidently lead both day-to-day accounting operations and long-term financial strategy?

Our client is seeking a Finance Director who combines technical expertise with sharp organizational instincts and the initiative to navigate change independently.

Location and Hours:

Onsite in McMinnville, Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the accounting department, overseeing GL, fund management, AP/AR, payroll, and utility billing.
• Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and monthly financial statements.
• Manage annual audits, ensure contract and grant compliance, and meet all reporting requirements.
• Supervise office staff and front counter operations with a focus on service and efficiency.
• Recommend improvements to the chart of accounts, document internal controls, and modernize financial systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting and team leadership.
• ERP system proficiency and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated success managing audits, complex reconciliations, and cash flow analysis.
• Preferred: Experience in non-profit or municipal finance (GASB, utility billing, single audits).
