Ag Plant Operator & Dispatch

The position of a Dry & Liquid Dispatch Operator is of great significance to Valley Agronomics. A person in this position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the facility while also developing and supporting relationships with the location’s customer base. This is a safety-sensitive position.

• Responsible for promoting and supporting crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed and services for local producers.
• Assisting in facility compliance with OSHA and cooperative safety program.
• Overseeing and assisting in the spraying, spreading, and delivery of product.
• Assist in communicating goals and results to employees, staff the location and delegate the workload, support employee growth, and uphold cooperative policies.
• Assist in managing location maintenance and safety records.
• Communicate information regarding products and services with customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, or related degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and general public.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.
• Maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service.
• Ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
• Manager focus in all interactions and exhibit strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
