Wait Staff​/Server

Hillside in McMinnville, OR, a Human Good community nationally rated as  Best Senior Living community for Independent Living and Memory Care by U.S News & World Report, is looking for a talented and passionate Server to join our team!

Under general supervision, the Server is responsible for the day-to-day setup, clearing, cleaning, and resetting of the dining room. Duties include taking menu orders and serving meals to residents and guests in a timely, courteous, and gracious manner, while consistently providing excellent customer service.

Schedule Available:

Full Time schedule, to discuss at time of interview

Pay range: $17+ per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties:

• Greets residents and guests promptly as they arrive at their table;
• Records accurate food and beverage orders and input into the POS system;
• Explains how menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods;
• Informs guests of daily specials, makes recommendations;
• Carries service tray in correct placement of orders to facilitate service of food and beverages;
• Works safely, consistently using designated safety equipment (personal protective equipment- PPE);
• Completes bussing, runner, meal plater, utility and catering duties as needed or assigned;
• Refills beverages throughout the meal service

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• Prior customer service experience
• Prior food service, fast food or restaurant experience
• Food Handler’s or Serv Safe certification
• Prior experience working with seniors preferred
• Availability that includes evenings, weekends, & holidays
