Overview

Responsibilities- Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to patients with diseases and injuries seeking treatment in the clinic.
- Diagnose and treat diseases and injuries; deliver preventive care for primary care needs, including chronic disease management.
- Oversee all clinical aspects of the CBOC and collaborate with the core PACT Team (LVN, RN, Medical Assistant) and expanded PACT Team including family/caregiver, VA, and community-based services to develop patient care plans.
- Manage day-to-day medical operations, ensure high-quality clinical expectations, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Achieve and maintain excellent clinical outcomes through periodic chart reviews, direct observation, and adherence to VA guidelines.
- Ensure all colleagues provide excellent customer service to veterans, clinic staff, and visitors.
- Participate in managing the clinic’s financial performance and outreach events to support enrollment initiatives.
- Support patient enrollment and retention by guiding scheduling, follow-up visits, or nurse visits as needed.
- Maintain staffing levels consistent with veteran enrollment and contract terms to sustain clinical outcomes.
- Review and analyze reporting and responsiveness to alerts and notifications; ensure clinic metrics meet VA thresholds.
- Emphasize recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and retaining talent through communication, training, enforcing key competencies, and performance management when required.
- Develop and maintain positive, collaborative working relationships with VA partners and keep leadership informed of significant issues.
- Innovate and support new clinical or operational initiatives and contribute to Valor's strategic initiatives that drive the organization’s success.
- 4+ years of clinical medical practice with healthcare management experience preferred; government healthcare environment preferred; specific requirements may vary based on VA contract.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
- Board certified in family medicine or internal medicine.
- Must be credentialed and in good standing through the Veterans Health Administration (VA).
- Valid, unrestricted medical license in the state of employment or applicable VA contractual requirements.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS as specified by the VA contract.
- Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; excellent computer skills.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate effectively with teams and leadership.
- Energetic, optimistic demeanor with a strong service orientation.
- Ability to resolve issues with colleagues, patients, and clients in a timely manner.

ScheduleMonday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. No nights, on-call, or weekend shifts.
