• Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
• Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable before, during, and after their appointment about their treatment and oral health.
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral photos.
• Prepare and sterilize the treatment room and equipment.
• Provide chair‑side assistance to Dr. Gust during treatment procedures.
• Document orthodontic care services by charting in patients’ records.
• Perform routine orthodontic duties, including changing wires, fitting bands, and adjusting orthodontic appliances.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient‑centric working environment.

Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, Employee Handbook.

• Experience as an orthodontic assistant preferred.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Quick learner with problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records, scheduling, etc.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in fitting bands and brackets and tying in arch wires.
• Desire and ability to learn new skills and be a team player.
• Commitment to being punctual and reporting to work on time.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
• Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.
