The Stryten factory in Salina, Kansas is one of the largest lead‑acid battery manufacturing sites in North America with 800 employees capable of producing more than 35,000 quality batteries per day. • D Shift: Night – Thursday to Saturday, every other Wednesday

• Create and sustain a zero‑injury workplace
• Minimize Pb blood level exposure
• Coordinate and implement maintenance training programs related to electrical and control systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical and control systems, including PLCs, VFDs, motor starters, PID loop tuning, digital and analog I/O
• Identify best practices that reduce equipment downtime, recurring issues, setup time, quick‑change modules, and improve equipment efficiency
• Identify opportunities that reduce maintenance costs
• Seek unsolicited automation and control projects that contribute to plant performance
• Use Work Order software and other computer programs as required
• Support new installations, improvements, and optimization projects throughout the plant
• Provide programming, debugging, and troubleshooting support for all factory automation systems, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robots, PID loop tuning, motor control, and electrical power distribution
• Develop and implement programming modifications to improve plant performance standards and simplify operator intervention
• Provide hardware and software support to the plant automation network
• Assist in developing documentation for existing and new plant automation and control systems
• Maintain current program versions for all plant automation equipment on the central controls computer drive or document management system
• Develop and support plans to optimize and simplify existing plant automation and control systems
• Modernize existing obsolete plant control systems
• Support modifications to items such as plant robots, machine vision systems, and data collection tools
• Substantiate data collection to SQL Server platform and provide display platforms
• Run conduit and pull wire as required for power distribution and controls integration
• Participate in plant shutdown activities related to assigned tasks
• Drive continuous improvement across the Maintenance department
• Comply with current Quality Systems requirements
• Adapt to marketplace changes and collaborate with engineering and related departments
• Follow Toyota Production System (TPS) objectives and Kaizen events
• Apply Lean Manufacturing procedures
• Perform other work assigned by the supervisor or management personnel

• Two‑year degree in industrial electronics and controls or 2 years of industrial electrical and controls experience, with preference for experience in Allen Bradley PLC products and ladder diagram logic.

• Above‑average troubleshooting skills necessary to sustain plant production.

• Military training or experience encouraged.

• Oscilloscope, multimeters, amp‑meters, megohmmeters, power meters, process meters, and other electrical tools
• Computer skills for report writing, presentations, spreadsheets, and project management, including Microsoft products and PLC/Panorama program editing
• Common hand tool usage, including power tools

Sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and walking as necessary. Wearing PPE required. Must repetitively lift and handle equipment and parts weighing up to 100 pounds.
