Electronic Technician

Job Overview

Electronic Technician role at Go McPherson. Responsible for troubleshooting, testing, repairing electronic equipment, developing prototypes, designing control systems, performing routine maintenance, and upgrading equipment.

• Troubleshoot and run diagnostics on electronic equipment, variable frequency drives, PLCs, temperature controllers, and timers.
• Design and build control systems to upgrade production and facility equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance using test sets (ultrasound, infrared, megger, oscilloscopes, VDM, ammeter).
• Adjust, calibrate, and repair pressure transducers, probes, sensors, and circuitry; ensure compliance with standards.
• Operate power tools to fabricate new or convert equipment and machinery.
• Assemble, modify, and repair subassemblies and line replaceable units per engineering drawings and change notices.
• Install and evaluate new equipment and components to ensure performance under operating conditions.
• Request and track parts or components; communicate delays if ordered.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Electronics certification; VFD and PLC programming.
• Knowledge of modern analog and digital electronics and test tools.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team‑oriented and service‑focused attitude.
