Educational Assistant for Student Support

Empower student learning at our educational institution as an Educational Assistant. Collaborate with teachers to support students with diverse learning and behavior needs in a nurturing environment.

This role requires an Educational Assistant who helps students under teacher guidance, ensuring a positive atmosphere. You will work with children of various age groups, focusing on optimizing their learning capacity and exceptionalities across educational programs. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of first nation values and promote a healthy lifestyle while being a positive role model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with learning and behavior challenges

• Collaborate with teachers to enhance student learning

• Maintain confidentiality and act as a positive role model

• Utilize strategies for diverse student needs

• Assist in professional classroom practices

Requirements:

• ECE certificate level 1, 2, or 3 preferred

• Experience as an Educational Assistant

• Knowledge of Child and adolescent development

• Familiarity with First Nation Cree culture

• Strong organizational and planning skills
