Public Health Inspector

Join the Meadow Lake Primary Health Care Centre as a Public Health Inspector. Engage in vital environmental protection services through monitoring and inspections across public facilities in this full-time role.

The Public Health Inspector will report to the Manager of Environmental Protection Services. This position involves ongoing evaluation and enhancement of public health inspection services within the Health Authority. Candidates will focus on compliance checks in public places and various health facilities, ensuring community safety and adherence to regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of public eating and recreation facilities

• Monitor compliance with the Tobacco Control Act

• Investigate complaints of environmental tobacco smoke

• Assess public water systems and sewage disposal systems

• Collaborate with team members on public health initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (BSEH)

• Certificate in Public Health Inspector (Canada)

• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license

• Membership in the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI)
