The Buyer plays an important role in supporting day-to-day operations across the mill. You'll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to meet the needs of multiple departments.

We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and entry-level local candidates who are interested in building a career in procurement. If you're motivated, organized, and eager to learn, were willing to train the right individual.

What You'll Do:
  • Source & purchase supplies, services, & materials to support operational needs
  • Review & evaluate supplier and contractor proposals
  • Communicate business needs to vendors & coordinate sourcing activities
  • Review purchasing requests to ensure alignment with company policies & standards
  • Manage workload & purchasing backlog to meet timelines
  • Monitor inventory levels & take action as needed
  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams & external partners
  • Participate in cross-training within the Purchasing department
  • Rotating weekend on-call schedule
What You Bring:
  • Purchasing designation or certification is an asset, but not required
  • Experience in procurement or an industrial setting is an asset, but not required
  • Comfortable using computers & basic programs
  • Willingness to learn new systems & processes
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently & manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • A proactive mindset & ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
