Job Title

Cashier (Full-Time)

• Ensures a high level of customer service at the checkouts.
• Accurately records customer transactions in electronic cash register, mainline, and self‑checkout (SCOs).
• Replenishes merchandise around the checkout area.
• Ensures health and safety policies and guidelines are followed.
• Ensures the checkout work area is kept clean and organized.
• Ensures loss‑prevention best practices are followed.
• Ensures compliance with all policies when selling tobacco and lottery.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A typical full‑time schedule includes day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends with 35–40 hours weekly. Part‑time schedules may include a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.

• Stand and/or walk.
• Bend, twist, and squat.
• Lift and/or move up to 18kg (40lbs).
• Perform tasks involving firm grasping.
• Perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions.
• Reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
• Operate equipment, including using a ladder.
