We are not looking for Design Engineers. Ideally a Mechanical Engineer with Manufacturing experience. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot manufacturing issues a must. Lead projects and manage technicians.
- Work closely with maintenance technicians to provide technical support, identify critical problem areas, and troubleshoot across multiple automated production lines.
- Design and redesign mechanical systems for automated production, including linear motion, pneumatics, vacuum systems, vision systems, labelers, pick and place modules, fixturing, locating, and general conveyance of the product.
- Apply transfer functions during troubleshooting and production support (e.g., Statistical Tolerance Analysis, Design for Six Sigma).
- Understand manufacturing statistical methods such as process capability and Design of Experiments; apply limited statistical tools to assist in development and troubleshooting of products and processes.
- Project management leadership focusing on design changes, process improvements, outsourcing, material cost reduction, and other plant efficiency efforts; identify project requirements and develop schedules with guidance from senior engineers.
- Implement processes including deviations and engineering change orders; identify project requirements and develop schedules with guidance from senior engineers.
- CAPA execution with guidance from a subject matter expert (SME).
- Engineering standards such as ASME Y14.5; apply elements to engineering drawings with oversight from senior staff.
- ISO compliance, FDA 21 CFR 820 compliance, and cGMP efforts; knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations; comfortable with CAD tools (Solid Works, AutoCAD) to create models, assemblies, and drawings with SME guidance.
- Technical writing for manufacturing documentation and process development with limited guidance from SME.
- Able to organize and prioritize assignments within functional teams (minimum 2 years in a team environment).
- Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels; ability to represent the organization clearly.
- Supports and drives change management within the function.
- Functional or cross-functional liaison with stakeholders concerning operational or project deliverables; ability to manage customer satisfaction initiatives.
- General knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 820 and ISO standards; minimum 1 year in a regulated environment.
