Our client, a leader in manufacturing and metallurgical processes, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with Carburization to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer with Carburization, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting process development and technical support initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Mechanical Engineer with Carburization.
Location:
Raleigh Durham Metro Area, North Carolina. Pay Range: $83,000 – $130,000+ DOE plus benefits, relocation.
- Lead technical support for carburization, heat treatment, and furnace processes to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, schedule preventive maintenance, and work with vendors to ensure equipment reliability.
- Conduct data collection, analysis, and process improvements using systems like Windchill to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Support internal audits, KPI tracking, and develop action plans to drive continuous process improvements.
- Manage small to medium‑scale projects, including coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to meet project goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3‑5 years of experience working with furnaces, carburization, and heat treatment processes.
- Strong skills in data analysis, process design, and engineering implementation.
- Ability to work independently, provide technical guidance, and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Knowledge of safety policies, confined space procedures, and compliance standards.
