This position reports to:
Finance Manager.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to collect and analyze financial metrics. Each day, you will identify trends and problems and communicate information to relevant groups. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending actions to improve the financial performance of the specific factory/manufacturing site in Mebane, NC.
The work model for the role is onsite.
This role contributes to the ABB Electrification Smart Power division (ELSP) HUB in North America and supports growth of the ELSP Mebane, NC plant.
In this dual role, you will be mainly accountable for supporting HUB America from an FPA perspective (6 plants + 2 distribution centers across US, CA, PR, MX). You will also support the financial processes and performance of the Mebane, NC plant.
Key Responsibilities- Perform analyses of business performance versus plan and propose improvement actions.
- Standardize and benchmark key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar sites within ABB.
- Prepare financial models for various hypotheses and assess impact on factory, with special focus on product/business line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under‑absorption analysis / inventory analysis.
- Support the preparation of the relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting, and provide information to management by gathering and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline (Master’s is a plus).
- 7+ years of experience in a finance role, ideally with experience in operations.
- Expertise in SAP FICO.
- Good English communication skills.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States.
