Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst for an exciting opportunity with one of our Fortune 500 clients.
Role: Technical Business Analyst
Contract Duration: 11 Months (with possibility of extension)
Work Location: Mebane, NC (Mostly Remote)
Work Arrangement: Primarily remote; occasional onsite presence may be required once or twice per month for meetings.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Business Analyst with 4–8 years of experience to support the development and enhancement of product configuration tools. This role bridges business needs and technical solutions, ensuring tools deliver accurate, efficient, and user-friendly configurations aligned with product and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Requirements Documentation: Capture, analyze, and document functional requirements and specifications for product configuration tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D and Product Management teams to align tool functionality with product strategy and technical feasibility.
- Product Rule Development: Define, implement, and maintain product rules to ensure valid, compliant, and optimized product configurations.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate functionality, performance, and overall quality of configuration tools.
- User Training & Support: Create user guides, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to ensure effective adoption and utilization of the tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience documenting functional requirements and developing test plans.
- Familiarity with product configuration systems and rule-based logic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with configuration management tools or CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business requirements.
