Robotic Welder

Join Bimstore as a Robotic Welder. Operate robotic and manual welding equipment to attach tanks and core components following blueprint instructions. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and robotic welding operations is required while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards.

• Operate welding equipment (manual and robotic) according to blueprints.
• Set up robotic welding equipment, clean debris off the gun, and replace parts as needed.
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints and work instructions.
• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding as required.
• Move cores and tanks using chain hoist or pallet jack.
• Perform welds on additional parts per blueprint requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on each cooler or part after welding is complete.
• Provide & receive feedback from the test tank team regarding leaks and defects.
• Meet production quotas and standard times provided by the Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with welders across all shifts to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Update production sheets, cell performance boards, and any data collection system.
• Perform preventative maintenance on robotic welding machines as needed.
• Report any issues to the Supervisor or designated personnel immediately.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and requirements set by AKG’s environmental management system.

• Completion of a formal trade school program with a welding concentration, apprenticeship program, or on-the-job training at AKG North American Operations, Inc.
• Must be available to work the agreed shift and overtime when required.
• Ability to read and understand detailed blueprint instructions and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read a tape measure using the metric system.
• Familiarity with robotic welding equipment and welding gun setup.

Manufacturing/warehouse environment.

• Must be able to stand (95%) and walk (5%) the time.
• May be required to bend, stoop, pull, push, twist, and turn.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must use a pallet jack, chain hoist, and welding equipment.
• Must wear safety equipment such as steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection (provided).
