Pharmacy Operations Manager - Memorial Regional Medical Center

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Operations Manager supports the Director of Pharmacy in managing pharmacy operations. The role implements policies, supervises staff, manages inventory, ensures quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and assists when the Pharmacy Director is unavailable.

Essential Functions
  • Provides management and oversight of pharmacy-related activities within the department and supports system-level initiatives for pharmaceutical care across the hospital.
  • Selects, trains, orients, and assigns department staff to schedules; develops standards of performance; evaluates performance; initiates recommendations for personnel actions.
  • Assesses and standardizes medication dispensing practices and pharmacy workflows and encourages team member growth and development.
  • Develops and actively participates in training and mentorship programs for pharmacists, pharmacy students, residents, technicians, nurses, and physicians.
  • Works with the Pharmacy Director to identify and develop processes to meet or exceed all regulatory standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education

Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS or Pharm

D (required). Advanced pharmacy degree – Doctor of Pharmacy, Masters, Residency (preferred).

Licensure/Certification

Pharmacist Licensure – State Board of Pharmacy (required).

Experience

3 years of experience in a progressive hospital or healthcare system pharmacy leadership role (preferred).

  • Extensive knowledge of clinical practice and thorough understanding of the organization and work environment.
