YSI is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to implement and provide support to the agency’s (VDOT) IT Network Infrastructure.

• Be capable of troubleshooting Network related infrastructure.
• Identifies and diagnoses system problems by using line monitors, diagnostic software, test equipment.
• Works closely with agency’s IT infrastructure suppliers and stakeholders to gather requirements, specifications, and configurations to assure they are accurate and up to date.
• Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting and resolving network issues impacting application performance and uptime.
• Assist in overseeing the installation, documentation, and upgrades of various agency facility data network infrastructure.
• Will oversee and collaborate with cloud and Dev Sec Ops  teams to optimize hybrid connectivity and SDWAN configurations.
• Must have the ability to provide documentation, network architecture topology diagrams, IP schemes, firewall rules, and access controls when required.
• Must have the ability to work independently on assigned projects.
• Must have minimally obtained an industry standard networking certification (example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA
  - Junos, etc.)

• Considerable knowledge and hands-on working experience with enterprise routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers (including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot)
• Demonstrated and hands-on ability to design, install and troubleshoot local-area and wide-area enterprise networks.
• Considerable direct hands-on experience, engineering and design experience in networking industry required.
• Industry standard networking certification (example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA
