• Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status.
• Determine the priority of the patient’s problems and needs.
• Implement clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients requiring intensive medical care.
• Develop and perform patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• In collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and demonstrate basic knowledge of contemporary nursing practice.
• Provide pediatric nursing care for episodic (outpatient) and inpatient care where applicable.
• Apply knowledge of contemporary pediatric nursing practice and future innovations.
• Evaluate, update and revise plans of care to achieve planned outcomes.
• Administer medications safely in line with practice standards and organizational policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred but not required.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire; must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care; PALS required within 6 months of hire based on departmental requirements).

• One (1) year of professional experience practicing as an RN.
• Recent Medical/Surgical, NICU, Pediatric, OB, ED or critical care experience is preferred but not required.

• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred but not required).
