Job SummaryThe CCU/ICU (Critical Care) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:
- Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
- Determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs
- Implementing clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care
- Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
- Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessment, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
- Synthesize and prioritize information to take immediate, evidence‑based, patient‑focused action using clinical judgment and inquiry
- Anticipate and respond with confidence and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions
- Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice and organizational policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred, not required)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – preferred at hire; required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for Pediatric Units, to be obtained before direct patient care
- 1 year of RN experience (required)
- 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, Critical Care, Step‑down, or Emergency Department (preferred)
