Position: Head of International Trade Department (BINUS )

Teaching Activities

  • Disseminate and impart basic or applied knowledge to students.
  • Assist students with their learning process.
  • Assess students’ learning.
Research Activities
  • Participate actively in specific research projects.
  • Propose new topics for research projects.
  • Maintain a programme of research, scholarship or artistic creativity that aspires to a national or international reputation and promotion to the rank of Professor (academic specialist rank).
  • Contribute to the discipline through publishing articles and books, presenting research findings, or disseminating work to external audiences.
Community Services
  • Participate actively in community service programmes.
  • Propose new programmes for community service.
Faculty Resources Management
  • Manage and monitor all activities related to the Faculty Member recruitment process.
  • Determine Faculty Member qualification for each course.
  • Map Faculty Member competency.
  • Consult problematic Faculty Member fulfilment of Faculty Members’ quota.
  • Monitor qualification development (JJA) of Faculty Members, including supporting data.
  • Advance study planning of Faculty Members.
  • Supervise Deputy Head for scheduling and assignment of Faculty Members.
  • Assist Dean for processes related to Faculty Member termination.
Academic Program
  • Ensure the implementation of academic policies and programmes for the respective Department.
  • Ensure academic programme activities comply with BAN PT / international accreditation criteria.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on latest trends, courses and technology related to the department.
  • Stay up‑to‑date on government policy in education as it relates to educational processes.
  • Manage and monitor teaching/learning process (e.g., curriculum design, instruction, delivery and assessment).
  • Develop the Term of Reference (TOR) for justification of curriculum development/revision.
  • Establish and ensure Department/Program objectives and graduate competency are aligned with BINUS University vision & mission.
  • Develop and implement programme structures, teaching strategies, long‑range planning, course distribution and curriculum mapping.
  • Supervise SCC/CCC for quality of curriculum development, including course review, course outline, textbook, syllabi, digital content, assessment of learning outcomes and course scoring composition.
  • Manage and monitor processes related to course distribution and curriculum mapping.
  • Supervise SCC/CCC for implementation of peer review and sit‑in activities, and preparation of partners and Faculty Members for the Global Learning System.
  • Supervise Deputy Head for internship programme implementation.
Research Management
  • Manage research activities by coordinating with Research Coordinator.
  • Plan and monitor the research roadmap.
  • Establish research goals within the Department.
  • Plan research grants and monitor their execution.
  • Lead and manage the production of the departmental self‑evaluation report annually.
Accreditation
  • Set up, manage and maintain accreditation targeted score from BAN – PT and international accreditation.
  • Monitor compliance activities and document support for Borang or other national/international standards.
  • Maintain annual programme performance according to BAN – PT and international accreditation standards.
  • Lead and manage academic operational activities for documentation.
Academic Operational Activities
  • Supervise Deputy Head for finalising teaching schedule.
  • Monitor faculty member attendance.
  • Monitor meeting schedule of Department.
  • Appoint thesis advisors and examiners based on qualification.
  • Prepare substitutions for thesis examiners.
  • Approve thesis guideline.
  • Resolve student complaints.
  • Monitor Department meetings related to Faculty Member.
  • Approve student thesis for proceeding to defence.
  • Manage process of resolving cases between students and lecturers.
  • Supervise Head of Laboratory / Studio for laboratory activities:
    • Design laboratory/programme activities and guidelines.
    • Establish grading system.
    • Monitor non‑tuition revenue.
    • Monitor research and development activities.
External Collaboration & Public Image
  • Coordinate with Head of Internationalization & Partnership Programme and other units related to collaboration and internationalisation programmes.
