On Call Teacher
Location:
Medan, Indonesia – Hourly Contract.

Programme Associate.

- Conduct educational activities on a regular basis across designated service areas, as requested by the Programme Associate.
- Identify standard curriculum for different educational activities and adapt them to the capacity of the beneficiaries.
- Establish mechanisms to periodically monitor beneficiaries’ knowledge acquisition and provide monthly reports to IOM.
- Undertake other duties assigned from time to time that are commensurate with the position, including clerical support and travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or a specialized teaching degree with at least two years of relevant teaching experience, preferably with children.
- High school diploma from an accredited institution with at least four years of relevant professional experience.
- Affiliation with educational institutions is a clear advantage.
- Proven capacity and experience in teaching in a classroom setting or private tutoring.
- At least four years of experience teaching a specific subject.
- Experience liaising with UN, government departments/authorities, and other international organisations.
- Experience conducting multi‑grade teaching with children.
- Maintains confidentiality and discretion in appropriate areas of work.
- Basic computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, Windows.
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required (oral and written).

IOM covers consultants against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP) for the duration of the consultancy. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for non‑occupational accidents and illnesses; consultants must provide proof of their own medical insurance before commencing work.
Appointment will be subject to certification of medical fitness, accreditation, residency or visa requirements, and security clearances.
