The clinic is located in Medford, MA but all duties of the role can be performed virtually.
Schedule:
4-6 hours per week
Includes 2 hours of rounds & supervision
* Hours are expected to increase to 10 hours per week, with potential for continued growth in the future.
RoleSummary:
The Adolescent Medical Director shall be a licensed physician whose primary responsibilities are the supervision, professional development, and guidance of clinical staff. In this capacity, the Medical Director will support the clinical team in evaluating mental health disorders and advise on the development of appropriate treatment plans for Guide light Health clients.
Role Responsibilities:- Ensure implementation of all clinic policies and procedures; recommend policy and procedure updates and changes, and shape evidence-based policy decisions to provide clients with the most up-to-date treatment available in psychiatric care.
- Ensure timely and complete documentation of treatment records, medication security, and any other documentation required by federal, state, and local agencies.
- Ensure that Guide light Health protects the rights and confidentiality of all clients.
- Document findings and decision-making about care in electronic health record.
- Maintain timely and appropriate communication and attend meetings as requested.
- Facilitate appropriate communication and referrals with outside professional as needed.
- Comply with other ad hoc requests and projects as assigned.
- Maintain a strong policy knowledge of and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations as well as CARF requirements, policies and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with CFR-related privacy principles and HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Participate in federal and state mental health training and continuing education as needed to perform in the position safely and effectively.
- Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the clinic’s mission and commitment to client experience. This includes weekly mandatory supervision with the Advanced Practice Provider where you will also be providing continuing education.
- Engage in weekly team rounds to review and discuss clients with the treatment team.
- M.D. or D.O. with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- An active license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Schedule II-V prescriptive authority from the State in which you reside.
- A Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registry license and active x-waiver.
- An active National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Pay Range: $219 - $257 USD
