The Senior Superintendent is responsible for directly managing a project's construction activities to meet specifications, delivering the project within budgeted cost and by the scheduled completion date. The types of projects managed range from complex to highly complex, with budgets from $20 MM to $50 MM in direct construction work, requiring minimal guidance from senior leadership.
Responsibilities- Directly manage project construction activities to meet specifications, deliver within budget and schedule.
- Lead and oversee complex and highly complex projects.
- Coordinate, plan and supervise craft superintendents, contractors and/or craft activities across multiple disciplines.
- Oversee multiple discipline superintendents and scopes of work ranging from $20 MM to $50 MM.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of fifteen years of experience.
- Team‑oriented individual capable of managing others.
- Demonstrated success managing construction scope on mid‑to‑large sized projects.
- Design/Build experience a plus.
- Ability to fully understand project specifications and identify deviations in the field.
- Superior planning ability, especially with Lean tools for schedule, constructability, sequencing, etc.
- Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office, iPad or handheld device.
- Proficiency with project management and reporting software; experience with Plan Grid highly desired.
- Experience with mobile devices and VDC apps a plus.
- Discipline‑specific expertise (Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing, Automation, I&C).
- Ability to lead and mentor a team.
