Are you a hands-on leader who loves solving problems, inspiring teams, and making an impact every day? At the Hyatt Place Medford, a Colwen Hotels property, we are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Chief Engineer to lead our property's maintenance operations.

This position is offering a $1,000 hiring bonus, subject to applicable tax with holdings. $500 to be paid out after 3 months of employment and the remaining $500 after 6 months of employment.

• Lead & Mentor :
  Train the maintenance team in fostering safety, accountability, and teamwork.
• Collaborate & Solve :
  Oversee daily maintenance and repair of hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety equipment.
• Drive Excellence :
  Spearhead the preventative maintenance program that ensures guest satisfaction and asset protection.
• Troubleshoot :
  Resolve system malfunctions while ensuring compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
• Partnerships :
  Work with vendors, contractors, and inspectors to ensure quality work and regulatory compliance.
• Manage :
  Take charge of the maintenance budget, capital projects, and vendor contracts.
• Roll Up Your Sleeves :
  Troubleshoot issues, resolve malfunctions, and jump in and work side by side with your team to get the job done right.

• Previous hotel or related field experience preferred
• A proven hands‑on leader who communicates clearly and builds trust with their team.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and life safety systems.
• 3+ years of maintenance management or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard computer programs.
• Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
