We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Universal Banker (Float) to join the team in our Salem Street branch and travel to other local branches on an "as needed" basis. The Universal Banker position will be responsible for performing the duties of both a Teller and a Personal Banking Representative. We are seeking someone with banking experience, goal orientation, and excellent customer service skills.

NOTE Due to the need to "float" to local branches this role will require a vehicle, as many branches are not accessible via public transportation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Process financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing and loan payments
- Provide excellent customer service, identify customer needs, and suggest appropriate product lines
- Proactively develop new customer relationships and expand relationships with existing customers
- Research and resolve all customer problems and inquiries
- Interview consumer loan applicants, submit and close consumer and equity loans
- Educate customers on all products and services and alternative delivery channels
- Cross-sell products and services
- Engage in outside business development activities including cold calling and community involvement
- Contribute to overall branch goals in sales and service
Job Specifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Previous teller experience and cash handling experience
- Computer experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of bank operating procedures, practices and policies
- Ability to prioritize workflow, multi-task, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze situations and solve complex issues
