We are excited to welcome new team members to our brand new Procedure Suite at the One Cabot Care Center located in Medford, MA. The One Cabot Procedure Suite offers routine surgeries and procedures in an outpatient setting. Access to an on-site café, a free shuttle to the Wellington T station, and more.
Responsibilities- The main purpose of the Surgical Technician is to provide quality patient care according to Cambridge Health Alliance, the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates standards of nursing practice and the Surgical Technologist role expectations.
- Assist the surgical provider and circulating nurse through preparation and assistance with surgical procedures.
- Prepare surgical equipment, provide equipment to surgeons during surgery, maintain the integrity of the sterile environment within the operating room, and complete other tasks as appropriate.
- Provide clinical leadership through personal commitment, accountability, and initiative in clinical practice. Prioritize patient care.
- Cross-coverage between 1 Cabot and Everett Hospital is required for training and low census.
- On-call responsibilities as needed in Everett or for nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Minimum 2 years of current surgical technologist experience required
- American Heart Association BLS certification and Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certifications required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program required
- Successful completion of Periop
101 during CHA orientation
