HR Generalist

Our client, in the construction industry, is looking to add a temporary HR Generalist to their team.

$30/hr - $33/hr

The temporary HR Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations and employee inquiries during planned leave coverage. This role focuses on transactional HR work, HRIS processing, onboarding communications, and administrative support related to benefits and leave activities.

• Monitor and respond to the HR inbox.
• Process union layoffs in the HRIS.
• Complete employment verifications.
• Respond to employee and field inquiries regarding start dates, end dates, employment information, and related HR matters.
• Process job changes and other HRIS transactions.
• Send new hire orientation communications.
• Provide administrative support for benefits and leave administration activities.
• Provide general HR administrative and operational support.

• 3 - 5 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Experience using UKG Pro.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple HR operational tasks.
• HRIS administration experience, including processing employee changes and maintaining HR data.

• Construction industry and/or union experience is strongly preferred.
• HR Operations experience with transactional HR work.
• Exposure to benefits administration.
• Exposure to leave of absence administration.
• Experience coordinating new hire onboarding and orientation.
