Job Overview:
As a Retail Merchandiser Floater, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark in stores. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Your starting pay will be between $16.00 - $16.25 depending on your skills and experience.
  • This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Weekly hours for this position are between 5-10 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role And Responsibilities

You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The position consists of three major components:

  • Day-to-day engagement: Using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, you will restock, organize, and monitor inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology usage is essential for day-to-day work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support: Seasonal demand drives operations. Expect additional days and extended hours around holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). You may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends, during peak periods.
  • Department Resets: You may be part of a team installing and relocating Hallmark fixtures, resetting card sections, and other tasks. You will typically be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which could include evenings or weekends.
  • One Team Vision: You are part of Hallmark’s field network of merchandisers who often support other team members in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding job requiring energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You may need to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or step ladders.

Qualifications
  • You're at least 18 years old.
  • You can read, write, and understand English.
  • You can grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information.
  • You have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
  • You have access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
