You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.

Active engagement is required: pick up and work shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts or fail to work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. You will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, you can use the myTime app to select shifts.

ABOUT SMALL FORMATS

We enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is in stock, available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor in our smallest format stores. This team conducts cashiering, stocking, presentation, price accuracy and related duties. You’ll provide exceptional guest service and tailor each experience to guest needs.

As a Small Format Team Member, typical responsibilities include:

• Guest service fundamentals and creating a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail fundamentals including sales trends, pricing, promotions, inventory management, and process efficiency
• Supporting daily/weekly workload to meet business priorities and sales goals

• Create a welcoming experience and assist guests with tasks
• Engage guests, solve needs, and communicate availability of tools, products, and services
• Maintain in-stock and properly signed merchandise across departments
• Assist with truck unloads, backstock, price changes, and inventory accuracy
• Support major transitions and safety/compliance initiatives
• Perform backroom audits, operate power equipment only if certified, and maintain organization
• Follow processes with attention to detail and prioritize tasks
• Assist guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up while complying with laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays; reliable attendance required
• Be capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions
• Maintain mobility for scheduled shift length
